FARMER PRODUCER COMPANY (FPO)
Producer Company allows farmers cooperatives to function as a corporate entity under the Ministry of Corporate Act. The objects of the Producer Company shall relate to Production, harvesting, procurement, grading, pooling, handling, marketing, selling, export of primary production of the Members or import of goods or services for their benefit, provided that the Producer Company may carry on any of the activities specified in this clause either by itself or through any other institution.
Producer Company is
- The registered producer company will be treated as a public limited company.
- Ten or more ‘Primary Producers’ are required to form a producer company.
- Maximum number of Directors shall be 5.
- Minimum authorized and paid-up capital should of Rs.5 lakh.
- The liability of the members is limited to the unpaid amount of the shares held by them.
- Producer companies offer greater credibility as compared to that offered by unregistered organizations of agriculturists/farmers

- The proposed name of the company shall end with the words “Producer Company Limited” only.

- Aadhar of all directors & shareholders
- Photo of all directors &shareholders
- Mobile No. & E-mail id of all directors
- Bank Statement of all Directors (Not older than 2 Months) &shareholders
- Electricity Bill/Utility Bill/Gas Bill/Postpaid Mobile Bill of registered office (Not older than 2 Months)
- A copy of the rent agreement (if premises is rented).
